RTH Stroke Foundation and Partners Visit the Housing Authority

Yesterday, on 5/19/16 for the third time this year, the RTH Stroke Foundation and partners visited the Housing Authority of Reseda to deliver a much-needed seminar on Stroke and Diabetes. The lecture was given by USC Nurse Betty Callens to roughly thirty two residents of the Los Angeles County Housing Authority. After the lecture, the attendees were treated to free screenings of their blood pressure and carotid arteries. At least one attendee was found to have had a major blockage of the carotid arteries and was advised to seek medical attention following the seminar. The RTH Stroke Foundation and partners will continue to serve this community as the year goes on.
